We are proud to present our first Sustainability Reportfor the financial year 2021.
As a reflection of our commitment to transparency with all our stakeholders, we want to share more and better our actions on sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
We are the first Spanish company in the industrial packaging services sector to publish a document of this nature.
In this first Report the reader will find out what we did in 2021 and why we are the packaging services company that is leading the transition of the sector in Spain and Portugal (and very soon in other European countries) towards sustainability.
In the Report we provide information that we consider valuable for our stakeholders about our history, values, way of working, organisational chart and governance structures, customers and suppliers, human resources, sustainability strategy, environmental management, regulatory compliance, welfare policies, etc., as well as our main business figures.
The Sustainability Report has been prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the most recognised, widely used and demanding international standard.
We have dedicated a special chapter in the document to our new facilities, inaugurated in 2021. Designed and built under criteria of productivity, people's well-being and low environmental impact, the new facilities consolidate the company's growth, boost the development of new projects and drive us forward in the internationalisation process we are undertaking in 2022.
This first Sustainability Report 2021 is the result of our Sustainability Master Plan, in which we prioritise our actions in ESG criteria (environmental, social and governance). We have carried out the first Materiality Study (included in the Report), involving our stakeholders in our sustainability strategy.
We have also adopted Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to contribute to appropriate responses to the global challenges facing our society.
Leading the industry's transition to sustainability
Since our beginnings 30 years ago, we have been making a positive impact on society and the environment through our products and services. The three strategic axes that define our activity are people, customers and sustainability.
Thanks to our business model, we optimise and reduce the film consumption of our customers, to whom we supply, free of charge, high-end wrapping machines and strech films high performance and reduced thicknesses, which guarantee safe and high quality wrapping of palletised goods. In this way, we manage to reduce waste and shrinkage and achieve a considerable reduction in economic costs and carbon footprint.
Over the past two decades, with our packaging services, Sie+ and Sod+, based on optimisation and savings, we have managed to remove more than 60,000 tonnes of inefficient film from the market.
In addition, our stretch films are 100% recyclable and during 2022 we are introducing an environmentally friendly stretch film made from post-consumer recycled raw material.

Every year we invest heavily in innovation in order to remain an innovative and proactive partner for our customers and to offer them efficient, cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
Our aim is to transform the industrial packaging sector by making it more productive and, at the same time, generating a positive impact on our environment, in line with market needs and respect for the environment.
Highlights of 2021
This is only the beginning. We are committed to produce subsequent editions of our sustainability report on an annual basis, to set ever more ambitious sustainability targets and to communicate this effectively and transparently to all our stakeholders.
