Aranco was honoured this past November at the 18th edition of the SME Awards, organised by the Spanish financial newspaper EXPANSION and IFEMA Madrid.
Specifically, our company received the award in the Environment category. The awards ceremony took place on 24 November at Ifema, Madrid’s main trade fair centre.
The jury highlighted our commitment to innovation and digitalisation applied to our pay-per-use packaging services, or “Wrapping as a Service”. Through our services, our clients have access at zero cost to connected wrapping machines for packaging their palletised goods. Clients only pay for the stretch film with reduced thickness that we supply, which helps them cut film consumption and reduce waste and emissions.

Our CEO, Gaizka Lara, receives the award from Ana I. Pereda, director of EXPANSIÓN
The jury also considered that since January 2025, our carbon footprint from electricity consumption has been zero, thanks to the energy we obtain from our own photovoltaic plant, which provides us with 30% of the electricity we consume, and to the purchase of 100% certified renewable electricity on the market since this year.

We would like to thank EXPANSIÓN and IFEMA for this award, which highlights the role of small and medium-sized enterprises as drivers of sustainable growth in Spain, and we congratulate the other award-winning companies.
This new recognition consolidates our sustainability policies established in our 2022-2030 Sustainability Master Plan and motivates us to continue offering our customers, from all areas of the company, innovative solutions that reduce consumption and waste.
