We publish our Sustainability Report 2022
For the second year, we are pleased to present our sustainability report for the 2022 financial year.
Last year, we were the first Spanish company in the industrial packaging services sector to publish such a document. It was the start of a path that we are continuing to consolidate this year.
We want to share our sustainable development and corporate social responsibility initiatives with our stakeholders in a transparent and accessible way.
We want to continue to have a positive impact both on our environment, through increasingly efficient and low-carbon products and services, and on people, customers, suppliers, partners and staff, through lasting and trusting relationships.
Our commitment to sustainable development is reflected in this report, as we continue to lead the transition of the industrial packaging industry to a more sustainable future.
A word from Gaizka Lara Goiricelaya, Managing Director of Aranco:
"For a number of reasons, 2022 was an extraordinary year for Aranco. It was the first year of our current 2022-2025 Strategic Plan, the main thrusts of which are growth, digitalisation and innovation based on sustainable development criteria. This Report therefore deals with a year that is, in a way, a point of departure, at a time when our company is relaunching, with new ambitions, new fellow travellers and also new and important challenges".

Highlights of our sustainability report
We continue to dedicate our efforts to making a positive impact on the market, people and the environment through our services based on innovation and sustainable development.
We would like to highlight five of the report's most important milestones:
First equal opportunities plan
During the 2022 financial year, we drew up our Equal Opportunities Plan (EOP), a sign of our commitment to our staff and society: we have organised and integrated our equal opportunities policy for women and men across the board.
Formation of Aranco France
It is with great enthusiasm that we present in this annual report Aranco France, our first subsidiary outside Spain, which marks an important milestone in the trajectory of our company.
With the ambition of extending our packaging services beyond the Iberian Peninsula, we chose France as the starting point for our ambitious internationalisation plan.
This is just the beginning of our expansion in Europe, as we plan to set up subsidiaries in other countries over the next few years.
New pallet wrapping machines that are efficient, connected and sustainable.
Innovation has enabled us to continue manufacturing ever more efficient and autonomous wrapping machines, such as the new range of SW intelligent wrapping machines, also designed according to eco-design criteria.
One of the highlights of this range is the AMR intelligent autonomous mobile stretch wrapper, which combines two machines in one - a stretch wrapper and an electric pallet truck - enabling it to move and work 100% autonomously, unattended and collaboratively, without human intervention during operation. This wrapping machine is a world first and won the DHL Green&Digital Innovation Award in the "Innovation for supply chain robotisation" category.
Stretch film with RFID technology
We have also added RFID tags to our stretch film rolls, giving us better traceability and useful data on the banding process. This enables us to know how to improve processes to make them more efficient and reduce time and film consumption.
Nebula, a digital platform for interoperability
As part of our commitment to digitalisation, we have developed the Nebula platform, a cloud-based digital interoperability system comprising applications, services and digital processes in a single space for the integrated management of our business.
In addition, with Nebula, we make banding data available to our customers via the client web, so that they can have complete and useful information about their end of line. In addition, thanks to predictive AI (Artificial Intelligence) models, we offer services to improve the workflow of our technicians, as well as for the management of film replenishment.
